As part of efforts to streamline all activities under professional boxing in the country, the newly constituted Ghana Boxing Authorty (GBA) Executive Board under the leadership of Abraham Kotei Neequaye has tasked five (5) Board members to subject the current GBA rules book and constitution to a review to help reshape activities of the Boxing governing body.

The legendary J. A. Annang was last Thursday nominated at the executive board meeting to be the chairman of the review committee and be assisted by a Lawyer (name withheld), Shadrack Acquaye, John Manfo and Mohammed Amin Lamptey, all board members.

The committee has been tasked to scrutinize the two working documents and make available their recommendations within three (3) months for ratification and approval by the board.

The GBA President, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, urged the committee to fast track their work to help bring to bear a smooth running on GBA’s activities.

According to the GBA President, the two documents are the working guide for the developmental track of his administration, thus, urged board members to show much interest in the review and ratification processes.

The GBA President expressed worries that the current GBA constitution has not been ratified by the executive board perhaps due to circumstances beyond its control.

The committee headed by J .A. Annang promised to work diligently to help reshape the two legal documents for the betterment of professional boxing and benefits of all stakeholders.
