Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Sanctions Box Office Sports Promotions’ CEO Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye

Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has suspended the Box Office Sports Promotions’ CEO Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye for “Misconduct and insubordination” for 2 years, withdrawing his licence as a promoter and manager.

 

In a two-page press release signed by the President of the boxing governing body of Ghana, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye is being suspended for organising a boxing event on May 28, 2023 at an unapproved location (Seconds Out Boxing Gym) which was under the jurisdiction of the Ga State and Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) which was banned from drumming and noise making during the period.

 

According to the release, GBA had agreed with Mr. Ntiamoah-Boakye to organise the event at Ashiaman, thereby sanctioning the event.
