Referee Erasmus Owoo saves ‘The Punisher’ Aziz Quartey from punishment by ‘Worldwide’ Tetteh
The man who calls himself ‘Talk and Do’ Jonathan ‘Worldwide’ Tetteh really enjoyed himself on Sunday night at the Resurrection Fight Night with his fans when he dominated. devastated, demolished and defeated Abdul Aziz Quartey to defend the National Light Heavyweight title at the Laboma Beach Resort.
The referee, Erasmus Owoo stopped the fight in round five to save The Punisher from further punishment after Abdul Aziz Quartey aka ‘The Punisher’ had received tons of punches. and the fans kept cheering Worldwide applauding every blow, hook or jab.
Worldwide who used this bout as preparation towards his date with Freezy Macbones said he was really tested by Quartey and commended him and the Wisdom Boxing Gym for their courage and character to go beyond round four.
On his fight with Freezy Macbones, Worldwide said he has to consult his management before coming out but he is ever ready as he is “Talk and do”
In another bout Seth Gyimah aka Freezy Macbones finished his Nigerian opponent Jamiiu in 57 seconds of round one. He then declared readiness to face Worldwide at Kumasi in August.
Box Office and RBS Promotions are planning to co host the rematch between Freezy Macbones and two titles holder/ champion Jonathan Worldwide Tetteh
The Resurrection Fight Night produced fantastic performances by Abigail Quartey, Joseph Commey. Alfred Lamptey and Benjamin Lamptey all of Black Panthers Gym winning their bouts in style.
Emmanuel Quartey from the Bronx Gym defeated experienced Justice Abbey, while Godwin Tetteh also won with a surprise victory.
Nana Adjei Clinton of Wisdom also won the PSI Tanzania title after his opponent Agoe Ashong had a shoulder dislocation.
Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, CEO of Box Office Promotions said the event at Laboma Beach Resort was successful and said that other boxing events can be held there.
Bishop Boxing Promotions will organise Best of Bukom 3 at the same venue on May 8, 2026. Bishop is also coming up with the Choice Awards to honour outstanding boxing people
