Ahead of the hugely anticipated bout set for the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra-Ghana, Robert Quaye otherwise known as the ‘Stopper’ is already trash- talking to the extent of branding his opponent Nathaniel Nukpe as not a genuine boxer.
“This guy is not a boxer …more of a junkey than a true boxer.” The self styled Stopper quipped.
“So because of you ‘anam boy’ you want me to speak English. did I go to school with you. Do you know where I went to school ? Bukum.
“Do you know something fans, if I say something then you continue for me oo the way I am happy about this bout you have no idea. The only thing he has is his language (English).”Quaye bullishly expressed.
His nemesis on the night Nathaniel Nukpe was equally optimistic as he took a scathing dig on the former interim World Boxing Organization(WBO) Africa super lightweight titlist.
“Respect yourself. I thought you had self respect but it’s pretty obvious you don’t. I can stop you before the fight, believe me this is not ‘juju’ so watch yourself and let the ring do the talking.”
At stake is the UBO super lightweight belt both boxers are pretty determined to carry come fight.
