Joseph Commey aka Jaguar missed the finals of the 2026 IBA Africa Elite Men and Women Boxing Championship in Kinshasa when he was declared loser against Admolson Kevin of Cape Verde in the lightwelterweight semi finals.
It was a good bout for Commey as he dominated the bout but at the end the Cape Verde boxers qualified for the final.
According to Coach Charles Quartey he does not understand how the judges score because Commey was the better boxer.
For his effort, Commey will settle for bronze.
However, Amadu Mohammed is the only Ghanaian in the final of the exciting tournament.
By reaching the final, Amadu aka Crawford Jr has guaranteed himself at least a silver medal ($10,000) and is fighting for the continental gold medal, which comes with a $20,000 prize from the IBA.
