“I’ll Return At 160”: Sena Agbeko

On the aftermath of his loss to Cuban boxing star David Morrell Jnr at the Armory in Minneapolis in December last year, well-chiselled, heavily muscled and granite-hard punching Sena Agbeko is looking to drop down one weight class.

Following what was an undesirable outcome to a fight he keenly anticipated, “The African Assassin”, now 28-3, 22 knockouts is contemplating a move from Super Middleweight (168 lbs) to Middleweight (160 lbs).

“I can make 160 pretty easily but always end up giving size advantage; having to get in there with way bigger guys”, The US WBC Champion explained.

He hinted a big return after a brief respite: “I’ll be back stronger. You can be assured of that. I hear Andrade is also looking at moving to Middleweight, should be a good scrap if it gets made.

“But I’m staying in shape and anticipating a busy year.”

Emerging from a path where overcoming adversity and proving the skeptics wrong was a routine, the Nashville based boxer is relentless in his championship pursuits.
