By Martin Luther

The countdown is over.
From the heart of Nakuru County, where champions are built through discipline, sacrifice, and relentless determination, Sombea Boxing Club is officially set for the 2nd Kenya National Boxing League in Mombasa County.

Our journey continues after finishing third in the first leg against some of Kenya’s most established boxing powerhouses.

That achievement was more than a podium finish—it was a declaration that Sombea Boxing Club has arrived among the nation’s elite.

But for us, third place is not the destination.
It is motivation.
As we head to the coast, we carry with us the pride of Nakuru, the confidence earned through hard work, and the hunger to compete against the very best.

Every training session, every early morning run, every round of sparring, and every sacrifice has prepared us for this moment.

To our respected rivals, including the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the National Police Service (NPS) boxing teams—we salute your rich history and achievements in Kenyan boxing. We know the standards you have set, and we look forward to sharing the ring with you once again. Be ready, because Sombea is arriving stronger, wiser, and determined to challenge for every point and every bout.
