Alfred Lamptey breaks up with Box Office
After years of working together with Box Office Promotions, Lightweight champion, Alfred Lamptey aka ‘Showtime’ says his contract with Box Office Sports Promotion has officially come to an end in December.
“I appreciate the journey we shared, the opportunities I was given, and the role they played in my professional career,” he said.
“As of now, I am no longer under contract with Box Office Sports Promotion, which means I am officially a free boxer. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in my career, one filled with fresh opportunities, new challenges, and exciting possibilities” he added.
“I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout my journey, and I’m looking forward to what comes next. The mission remains the same: to keep working hard, represent myself with pride, and continue chasing greatness inside the ring” he expressed.
Alex Ntiamoah Boakye the CEO of Box Office replied that “Wishing you all the best in your new endeavor. My advice to you is hard work and dedication and your dream would be fulfilled. Have a blessed journey”.
Alfred Lamptey, a former WBC Youth and Ghana National Champion as well as SWAG Award winner trains at the Black Panthers Gym under Coach Eben Adjei.
The boxing ecosystem is tight due to lack of activity following the halt and later lifting boxing programmes and events.
Recently female boxer, Abigail Quartey who also trains at the Black Panthers Gym also announced the break with her manager.
