Dear Boxing Stakeholders,
After several opinions from boxing stakeholders around the world regarding the name World Africa Boxing Association, the Board of Directors of WABA in it’s virtual meeting has resolved to adopt the name of the World Alliance Boxing Association from April 26, 2021. The acronym will still be WABA.
The board resolution was arrived at to satisfy the interests of the WABA’s stakeholders globally who thought that the word “Africa” limited the sphere of the organization to African continent.
However, for State, Zonal and Continental titles they will be under the World Alliance Boxing Association – Africa or Europe or Asia or Americas.
