The Bukom boxing arena hosted another Legacy Rise boxing even this past weekend, with over 4000 fans in attendance.
The event was attended by former and current boxers, celebrities such as Asamoah Gyan, Aka Ebenezer, Dope Nation, and many other dignitaries who came to enjoy the bouts.
Seven Ghanaian boxers secured victories in their bouts, with three of them; Theophilus
Allotey, Ahmed Abdula and Sedem Ama defending or claiming a WBA Africa title.
Here are the results.
In the headline fight, Theophilus Allotey proved superior to Namibia’s Jonas Erastus,
knocking him out in the 7th round to earn the WBA Africa Super flyweight title.
Ahmed Abdula secured a decisive unanimous (99-91 x3) victory against Obaro Eradajaye in
a 10-round cruiserweight bout, claiming the WBA Africa title
Jerry Lartey successfully retained his WBA Africa super lightweight title by defeating his
compatriot Sheriff Quaye via a unanimous decision (79-73, 77-75, 80-72).
Jursly Vargas secured a swift victory, knocking out Isaac Dowuona in the first round after
sending him to the canvas three times.
Sedem Ama decisively defeated Chiamaka Nwaturucha in their rematch to retain the WBA
Africa Super welterweight title (77-75, 79-73, 77-75).
Nathaniel Suppey emerged victorious over Prince Kamaldeen Mohammed in a hard-fought
match that concluded in a split decision (77–74, 77–74, 75–76).
Benjamin Nii Saka Bulley staged a comeback, ultimately outboxing Kevin Abraham to secure
a unanimous decision victory.
John Laryea delivered a decisive right hook in the 5th round, resulting in a knockout victory
over Lazarus Namalambo.
Ibrahima Diallo kept his undefeated status intact by beating Godson Amuzu via a unanimous
decision (57-56, 59-54, 58-57).
