Led by Michael Amoo-Bediako Snr, Jim visited the Mecca of African boxing in 2018 to carry a simple task of designing the outfit for Richard Commey to symbolize his committment to the aspiring boxing talents in Jamestown, Accra-Ghana who look up to him as their role model.

Whether it was planned or not this image is bound to be a part of the large photo essay which is set to set a new standard in the very near future as having captured world champions in one single image.

Quoting the Chief Executive Officer of Streetwise Management and manager of former IBF champion Richard Commey, Amoo-Bediako Snr tweeted;

“The Wall of Young Bukom Boxers taken by photographer @JimFenwick and displayed at his studios in West London. We visited Ghana back in 2018 as part of a project to use the photos to make up the fabric for @RichardCommey ringwear for his @IBFUSBAboxing world title bout in 2019.”

Well, Jim Fenwick has just captured what would go down as not only the best but the photographer who captured iconic Ghanaian world champions in one image.

As writer Sebastyne Young puts it “A picture can tell a thousand words, but a few words can change it’s story.”

The Brits has in what Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist and theatre designer Pablo Picasso said:

“Every now and then one paints a picture that seems to have opened a door and serves as a stepping stone to other things.”

It goes without saying, how amazingly, the photographer was able to capture such great Ghanaian Juvenile talents destined for the world stage and to print their names in Ghanaian, African and world boxing folklore.

Posterity they say is the best judge.
