Ghanaian boxing sensation Robert “The Stopper” Quaye defeated compatriot Nathaniel Nukpe with a first round technical knockout to win the UBO super lightweight belt on Saturday night.

The Accra based fighter was in his usual best when he showed up for the Ace Power Promotions’ latest event dubbed the Danger Zone Fight Night at the La Palm Royal beach Hotel.

It took Quaye just 1.20minutes to defeat his opponent Nukpe who had earlier vowed to stop the “Stopper”.

However, the Voltarian fighter could not stand the flowery of punches in the opening round. The fight eventually came to an end with Robert Quaye winning via a Technical Knock out to be crowned the new UBO super lightweight champion.

Quaye’s record as a professional fighter remains unblemished and currently stands at 20-0, 17KOs.
