Issah Samir assured of TOP RANK signature if he wins Alimkhanuly fight

Undefeated Ghanaian middleweight pugilist Issah Samir has commended TOP RANK for this opportunity presented him to showcase his boxing craftsmanship on their event in Canada. Samir who comes from a family of boxers says “This is the opportunity I have been waiting for. The world will once again have the opportunity to see the talent deposited in the Dobia Family” Samir said.

Issah Samir have three siblings who are all boxers, Bastie Samir the senior of the brothers also undefeated campaigns at the light heavyweight division and Shakur Samir who just came back from the Darkar qualification for the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo.

In an interview with his trainer Coach Ofori Asare who also doubles as the coach for the National Amateur team said he is very elated for the opportunity brought forward by Global Boxing Stars through their country representative Mr. Michael Baron Quartey with a promise from Top Rank to sign Issah Samir when wins this fight.

Michael Baron Quartey also confirmed when boxinghana.com called on him yesterday at his office “this is the opportunity Issah needs to be seen in the world stage and will work hard for other Ghanaian boxers as well” he said. We have been on this radar to be signed by Top Rank when he wins his fight with Janibek Alimkhanuly for sometime now and we finally through” he added.

Even though this will be Samir’s international debut, he have had huge international experience in his amateur days and later went to the United States with his brother Bastie Samir on Golden Boy Promotional contract. He trained with the famous Missouri Sports Hall of Famer boxing trainer, Kenny Adams and then later joined Pound 4 Pound boxing syndicate. Issah Samir and his brother came back to Ghana 2017.

Samir (18-0, 15 KOs), 30, returned to the ring after a one year stint in the United Staes to a TKO wins over Flash Issaka, George Amuzu, Basil Osigwe and recording a UD against Patrice Sou Toke. The Undefeated Ghanaian is very upbeat about his chances of winning the 10 round contest with Alimkhanuly. ” I’m highly motivated and ready to record a win in Canada, this will not be my first time to fight outside Ghana. I’m going to make Ghana proud”.Samir said.
