Freezy Macbones set to face Godday Appah in October
After weeks of trading words online, the Freezy Macbones and Godday Appah showdown looks closer than ever.
Last week, Balmoral Promotions Chairman Ezekiel Adamu announced the upcoming fight in an interview on TalkSport between Ghanaian boxer Freezy Macbones and current WBO Africa cruiserweight champion from Nigeria Godday Appah.
For the past few weeks, Macbones and Appah have been engaged in a social media back-and-forth, with both convinced they would win if the fight were to become official.
Both men have one win each in 2026 as of now.
Appah, also known as ‘Zodsolo,’ is coming off his biggest career win. In May, he defeated Eworitse Ezra Arenyeka via a majority decision, earning him the WBO Africa Cruiserweight championship.
Whereas Macbones secured a first round knockout victory over Nigerian boxer Jamiu Animashaun in April.
If the bad blood these boxers have shown online is anything to go by, fans are in for an exciting bout.
