The father of Ghanaian famed boxing trio Bastie Samir, Isaah Samir and Shakul Samir has passed away.
The incident which happened yesterday morning at around 10:00am has left the senior of the three, Bastie Samir shattered.
In an exclusive interview with Boxinghana.com, Bastie revealed “I did not see it coming, he fell ill the morning before. I did not know those were the last moments with my father.”
The boxer as seen, posted images of himself with his father and his brothers on social media, eulogizing the man who brought them to this world.
He posted
“RIP Dad, God knows why you are the only Dad to have produced three African medalists and three olympians with the same coach who trained you and helped other guys to become good boxers. We love you and we will always miss you. You are a great dad, may God be with you and give you better place in heaven 💔🤲🤲🤲”
Shakul Samed and Issah Samir are yet to make any comments about the unfortunate incident. Issah Samir is currently based in the United States of American chasing his boxing dreams. Shakul recently turned professional with a record of 2 wins out of 2.
The burial service of their father was held yesterday at their house in Agbado. The early burial is due to the Islamic tradition since the deceased was a Moslem. Nana Apaa and friends of the trio were in attendance as well as representatives from their respective boxing clubs.
