Undefeated Heavyweight Jeremiah Milton Visits Ghana

Undefeated American Heavyweight contender Jeremiah Milton touched down in the homeland and has taken the opportunity to fraternize with the boxing community.

 

Milton, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and residing in Las Vegas where he’s trained by Rodney Chrysler at the Top Rank Boxing Gym, visited Ghana on personal affairs; having roots in the West African state with rich boxing history.

 

Upon recommendation by pal and Commonwealth Middleweight champion Denzel Ntim Mensah Bentley, Milton, also known as “Dreamland” pitched camp at the Bronx Boxing Gym owned by Trainer Lawrence Carl Lokko in Accra for routine workouts.

 

Milton, 11-0 with 8 ko’s mentioned boxing legend and Hall Of Famer Azumah Nelson as his boxing idol and expressed admiration for the alacrity and enthusiasm with which the young boxers he met get embroiled in their craft.

 

He stated that despite the inadequate facilities, their perseverance to attain to the zenith of the pugilistic ladder was commendable. He described them as “hard workers”.

Carl Lokko was delighted about the sessions and attested to Milton’s prowess and imminent prominence on the world Heavyweight scene.

Having sparred with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Frank Sanchez and other elite names, the soft-spoken but hard-punching stalwart hinted on something big coming up and expressed interest of fighting in Ghana soon.

“I fought on the undercard of Dogboe-Ramirez in the US and I can’t wait to get back in the mix”, he said smiling.

 

Milton’s message to the youth: Keep fighting, Stay Strong, Follow your dreams.
