Wisdom Boxing Gym in collaboration with Making Learning Happen [an NGO which seeks to equip underprivileged schools with learning facilities] is set to stage a boxing event on August 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium, precisely at the Hana Hathramani Sports Hall.
The event, dubbed “Boxing Fundraiser” is being organised to help raise funds to support the Educational Sector with production of school desks to be donated to schools in the Northern Region.
The funds are expected to be raised through ticket sales and sponsorships of which doors are still opened for more sponsors who wishes to support. Individuals are also encouraged to make voluntary donations in support of the project.
Sulemana Abubakari versus Haruna Mohammed will headline the Boxing Fundraiser event. The event in all will feature Eight (8) professional bouts and Eleven (11) amateur/exhibition bouts. Among top boxers set to feature on the bill are Emmanuel Danso aka ‘Kwahu Tyson’ (former National Light-heavy champion), Jessie Lartey (2018 Commonwealth bronze medalist), Raymond Commey aka Chorkor Banku, Haruna Mohammed, Aziz Seidu and Emmanuel Sackey.
There will be amateur exhibitions bouts from Abdul Wahid Omar, Theophilous Allotey, James Okoe, Caleb Mensah and Wesley Ayi-Bontey.
The tickets to the event are priced at 20gh cedis, 50ghc and 100gh cedis.
