Scottish Bantamweight Kash Farooq Shockingly Retires From Boxing at 26

Scotish Bantamweight prospect,  Kash “The Untouchable” Farooq has retired from from profesaional boxing just days after his 26th birthday.

This was confirmed by the St. Andrew’s Sporting Club, where the once-defeated fighter will now serve as Head of Talents.

No explanation was given for the shocking retirement of the 26-year old prospect.

Although Farooq suffered a hand injury in November last year, it is unclear whether that played a factor in his retirement.

The Pakistani-born, Glasgow-based spent a little over six years as a professional, during which time he claimed the British bantamweight title following a mind-blowing 73-second Knock Out win over Jamie Wilson in 2018.

Farooq went on to make three successful title  defenses before a controversial split decision loss to McGregor.

He subsequently bounced back by winning three straight fight prompting the BBB of C to order a rematch which never saw the light of day.

He ends his career at 16-1 with six knockouts.
