The national boxing team, the Black Bomber represented Ghana well at the just ended Tokyo Olympics as the trio fought gallantly to uplift the flag of Ghana high.

Samuel ‘Ring Warrior’ Takyi who fought on to win the only laurel at the Olympic games together with the team paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.

Their visit which was to deliver the message of goodwill and medal to the president met other goodies which has turned many to acknowledge the president for his efforts.

At their meeting, the president of the republic of Ghana following the heroics of the Black Bombers especially Samuel ‘Ring Warrior’ Takyi after winning the bronze medal included packages that could not go unnoticed.

Samuel Takyi who won the only medal at the Tokyo Olympics is set to receive a car, a cash prize of ten thousand US dollars ($10,000), and twenty thousand US dollars ($20,000) towards the development of his career.

As in the case where not only Samuel participated in the Olympics, the president extended the prize tag to all participating members who represented Ghana at a time of five thousand US dollars ($5000) each.

As many have lauded the president for doing the needful in rewarding these gallant warriors many have also expressed joy that such will motivate other athletes in their endeavors.

Congratulations once again to team Ghana and the presidency for their gesture towards the Olympians.
