Ghana’s Olympic bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Games has disclosed that he is in a new chapter of his boxing career and the time is ripe to hit the world rating and become a champion.
He told Yours Truly in an exclusive interview that there is time for everything, and God does His things in many different ways so he is not late but coming to realise his dream of becoming a world champion.
According to Samuel Takyi, after the Olympic Games experience, the next level is the world title and he is training very hard to read the top of his professional career.
On Saturday September 19 on the Osagyefo Fight Night he defeated Botswana challenger Steven Bagwasi by a R2 Knock Out to send signals to his opponents.
Samuel Takyi (9-0-0) thanked his team and Coach Dr. Ofori Asare for all the support and technical advise.
He also thanked all his fans and supporters at Atukpai in Accra urging them to feel good because the future is bright.
‘The Ring Warrior’ as he loves to be called also thanked Sharaf Mahama and the officials at Legacy Rise Sports Promotions for the love shown to him.
He always remembers when he was named and honored as SWAG Sports Personality of the Year, at their special Awards Night and wants to repeat that achievement by claiming a world title in the near future.
