Holy Dorgbetor set to face Lukman Akinolugbade on Sept 26th Odwira Boxing Card
Holy Dorgbetor returns to the ring after 9 months away to face Nigerian boxer Lukman Akinolugbade on September 26th.
The last time Dorgbetor (14-2-1, 8 KOs) fought, he lost by a 7th-round doctor’s stoppage against John Laryea for the IBF Africa Featherweight title.
Although the 27-year-old had a good performance in the early rounds, he could not continue the fight due to medical advice from the ringside doctor.
On September 26th, he will face Lukman (10-5-1, 10 KOs), who is well acquainted with Ghanaian boxers.
Lukman has competed against four Ghanaian boxers and lost on every occasion.
That stat would be music to Dorgbetor’s ears as he prepares himself for the bout.
The bout will take place at the Odwira Community Boxing Arena in Akropong as part of the bicentennial celebration of the Odwira festival.
The event is promoted by Safe Box Promotions and will also feature Samuel Quaye vs Mettle Ayitey, Isaac Kakraba vs Ghislain Vodounhessi and Abdul Aziz Seidu vs Isaac Aryeetey.
