Ornella Sathoud will be fighting in Bout no.8 against Kerry Davis.
The scientist cum boxer will be coming up against 25 year old English boxer in a Round of 16 middleweight contest. The event will be held at NEC Hall 4 on Friday, 29, July 2022 at 13:45 (UK Time)
Both ladies have set their hearts on making a difference at the tournament.
Ornella Sathoud won bronze in Darkar, 2020. This is the first ever female boxing medal for Ghana. In 2021, she was recognised by Women in Sports Ghana as an achiever in the world of sports.
Kerry Davis, a 25 year old full-time middleweight boxer for Great Britian and part of the elite English squad. Some of her achievements include being crowned the 2018 Elite National Champion and three Nations Champion.
Kelly aims to use experience at the commonwealth as stepping stone to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
“I have been working hard and this is a great opportunity for me to build my experience” says Kelly Davis.
