Richard Commey wins first World title after he KO Isa Chaniev in 2

Former IBF world champion Richard Commey has remembered his capture of the world title in 2019.

Today will certainly go down as historic for having a unique numerical date which will never be repeated 20/02/2022, however for the 34 year old Ghanaian pugilist, today is a reminder of his triumph over Isa Chaniev in 2019 after he knocked him out in round 2 to become the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight Champion of the World.

In a post shared on Instagram stories by his managers Streetwise Boxing Management and reposted by Commey himself on his personal account, it states “02-02-2019

Today 3 years ago, 9 and a half years of hard work, dedication, trust, sacrifice and loyalty. Culminating in @richardcommey becoming @ibfboxingofficial lightweight champion of the world”

This exciting proclamation has been received with various celebrations and recognition for the boxing star and team on Instagram by boxing fans and stakeholders.
