Abdou Baki Adamou aka ‘Holy Fighter’ is a Nigerien born and bred in Accra, Ghana but recently decided to represent his motherland, Niger because they lack sports elite personnel.
He represented Ghana at the 2023 African Games but could not win a medal so he switched nationality and currently he is the number one boxer from Niger.
He believes living in Accra has contributed positively to his boxing life, because in Accra the best known past time and play for children is boxing.
“I started boxing as a kid like every little boy in Accra and I have gained bravery and discipline both at home and in the gym” he said.
‘Holy Fighter’ is a product of Akotoku Academy Boxing Club and he gives gratitude to coaches Amankwah, Robertson and all his gym mates.
He attended Sacred Heart Senior High School and decided to box as a profession.
His performance led him to the Black Rockets and was promoted to the Black Bombers of Ghana. His best dish is Ga Kenkey with fish and pepper.
He is now a professional boxer with a record of eight fights with no defeat.
His next bout is on September 19 at the Bukom Boxing Arena where he faces soldier man Corporal Moro Inusah Kanlah.
It is on the Osagyefo Fight Night bill by Obra Sports and it is going to be a night to remember.
