His 89 mates at Labone and the entire year group and LOSA family at large wish him victory in the upcoming election.
The writer, also former 2000 year group President of LOSA, wishes him luck.
Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, founder and CEO of Cabic Promotions and Management said since 2018, he has invested his time, my capital, and my reputation in building Ghanaian professional boxing, staging title fights, developing champions, modernizing venues, and opening international pipelines for our fighters.
He expressed that he is going for President of the Ghana Boxing Authority because Ghana boxing needs to be rebuilt; safer, nationally, and on the world stage. That work begins with the leadership we elect on 4 June 2026.
“My approach is practical, commercial, and internationally connected. I have built and operated this sport at every level; as a promoter, manager, venue owner, and operator.
I understand what it costs to put on a card in Ghana, what it takes to negotiate with sanctioning bodies abroad, and what it requires to keep fighters professional through their careers” he said.
Since its founding in 2018, Cabic Promotions and Management has staged multiple editions of Cabic Big Fight Night, producing champions across several sanctioning bodies and elevating Ghana’s boxing profile both nationally and internationally.
Champions produced by Cabic Promotions include Patrick Allotey (WBO Africa Super Welterweight), Richard Lartey (WBO Africa Heavyweight), Dana Kofi (WABU and UBO Africa), and Emmanuel Mankattah Sackey (UBO Super Featherweight, and Ghana’s first deaf professional champion).
Beyond promotions, he leads the Idrowhyt Company Limited; operator of the Idrowhyt Events Centre and Greystone Gym in Dansoman, dedicated venues for the development and showcasing of Ghanaian professional boxing.
HIS PRIORITIES FOR GHANA BOXING are Safety and Athlete Welfare, National Expansion, Coaches’ and Officials’ Welfare, Commercial Reset, International Standing, Governance and Transparency,
Ghana boxing has been carried for too long by the courage of its fighters and the patience of its coaches, while its administration has lagged behind the sport it is meant to serve.
The Interim Management Committee under Samir Captan and Azumah Nelson has done the difficult work of stabilizing the sport after the tragedy. The next chapter belongs to leadership that can build on that foundation commercially, regionally, internationally, and with the discipline this sport deserves.
“If elected, I will dedicate my full energy, networks, and operational experience to delivering that future.
I ask for your vote not as a politician, but as a builder. Let us rebuild Ghana boxing together” he stated in his manifesto.Story by Wendy Naa Deide Sampah
