Former IBF welterweight world champion of the world Joshua Clottey (40-5,23 KOs), is set for his ring return against Tommy Jacobs as a feature fight on the Nigel Benn vs Sakio Bika headline event at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham scheduled Saturday November 23rd, in the United Kingdom.

The star studded highly packed bill, will see the self styled ‘Grandmaster’ stepping into the ring for the biggest fight after making his ring return with back to back TKO victories over Mfaume Mfaume and Azizi Mponda both from Tanzania respectively, preparing the grounds for a second bite of the cherry, with the ultimate aim of avenging the defeat at the hands of Philipino Senator Manny Pacquiao.

“I want that (Pacquiao) fight so badly just to redeem my image but that opportunity is not available. However, if it comes I will grab it.” Joshua recently expressed.

But the Colchester born Tommy ‘Sweet T’ Jacobs (10-2) is no walk over, as he currently holds the WBF European and the International belts. In his first message posted on his facebook wall, the Englishman was very optimistic as he relishes the date with his Ghanaian hard hitter.

“Well here it is my time to shine!!!!!
The fights I so badly want and need!!!!
Me vs former IBF champion of the world!!
He lost to Baldomir by DQ
He was beating Margarito but his hands broke

And next up he faces Me!!!!
Let’s go baby!!!!” Tommy sumped up his opponent career stats.
