Coach Ofori Asare, who trained Majidu in the national team, explained that he prepared his boxer Haruna Mohammed for a real fight, knowing Jababu’s history. I approached this fight as a tough fight because I know Majidu is also a good boxer.

Majidu, despite all his experience, appeared confused in the ring by tackling his opponent, shoving him each round. The bout recorded several fouls as the referee requested 1 point be deducted from the score of each boxer.

Haruna’s win therefore pushes Wisdom Boxing Gym to the top of the League table, having remained at the bottom all 20 weeks last season.

Fit Square’s Coach Kwei, expressed disappointment as he felt his boxer should have done more to win this matchup.
