In a thrilling showdown, Ghana triumphed over Nigeria in a buildup match for the Commonwealth Games held in Accra, securing a nail-biting score of 4 to 3!

In the women’s events, Ramatou Quaye faced a tough challenge in the bantamweight category, falling to Kadijat Ajisola with a score of 0-5.

Nancy Bamfo also put up a valiant effort in the featherweight division but came up short against Aishat Gbadamosi, losing 2-3. On the men’s side, Amadu Mohammed shone brightly in the bantamweight category, delivering a stellar performance to win 5-0 against Michael Ogunremi. Ebenezer Ankrah followed suit, dominating the lightweight division with a convincing 5-0 victory over Sodiq Oduniyi.

In a closely contested light welterweight bout, Abdul Wahid Omar edged out Abdul Rahman Abdul Wahab with a narrow 3-2 win. Khalid Abdul, however, faced a setback in the light middleweight category, losing 2-3 to Folly Hassan.

Desmond Pappoe capped off the evening’s excitement with a solid 4-1 victory against Daniel Joshua in the light heavyweight division.
