The Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) has appointed former commonwealth featherweight title holder, Mr. Percy Oblitei Commey as its Assistant Technical Director.
The 61-year old’s appointment was confirmed by the GBA in a letter addressed to him dated October 11, 2021 which was cited by boxinghana.com.
According to the letter, the appointment is in compliance with article 4 clause 11 of the GBA’s constitution.
“The Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) presents its worm and sincere complement and wish to inform you that you have been appointed as Assistant Technical Dorector on the board in compliance with article 4.11 of the constitution”, the letter read.
“The board believes strongly that you rich experience and knowledge of the sport will not doubt manifest itself and be of immense benefit to professional Boxing”, the letter added.
Percy Commey has considerable experience as a professional Boxing trainer and a former fighter who won feather and superfeatherweight titles in Ghana, Africa and the commonwealth region in the 1970s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s.
