World Boxing Organisation European Welterweight champion Freddy Kiwitt, is set to make his first defense in Ghana with a yet to be known opponent on a Cabic Promotions and Management’s bill soon to be announced.

The Liberaian born German national dispatched Irish man Paddy Gallagher on points to win the European strap on points after a fight short notice.

His trainer, former Ghana International boxer, Lee Manuel is confident of Kiwitt’s abilities to become a world champion.
“Look, mark my words, Freddy is going to become a world champion soon, his abilities are like none I have seen before and he is very disciplined.”

The self acclaimed Pretty Boy has won fifteen of his professional bouts, lost two with eight knockouts so far and currently commands the WBO European Welterweight title.

When boxingghana.com caught up with the reigning European champion on the confirmation of his next fight, he stated.

“Yes but it’s not 100% confirmed yet. Also waiting on a date. But will be on cabic promotion. Just waiting on the date but I’ll reckon June or July.” Kiwitt said.

Freddy shocked the world when he defeated former Commonwealth gold medallist Paddy Gallagher (15-5) at the York Hall on February 22, 2019, when he fought through an injury and yet knocked down the Belfast boxer twice before finally getting the victory with the scores reading of 95-94, 95-93, 95-95.
