FOUR FLAGS, NINE FIGHTS, ONE RING IN TANZANIA ON 28TH JANUARY

The most exciting boxing talents from East Africa will be featured in one of the most anticipated matches of 2023, which will be hosted at Mkwakwani Stadium, Tanga, Tanzania on 28th January.

 

The event billed ‘Usiku Wa Ngoma Nzito’ consists of nine bouts with boxers from four countries; Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe. Mwazoa Boxing Promotion is Promoting the bill.

 

In the main event, Tanzania’s Super featherweight starman Ibrahim Class (28-6-0, 13KOs) placed 64th out of 1,616 boxers in the world, will battle Zimbabwe’s Ndodana Ncube (8-4-0, 5KOs) placed #316 / 1,616, for the unrevealed 10 rounds title.

 

In the meantime, Dullah Mbabe (32-12-1, 28KOs) will meet Chimwemwe Chiotcha of Malawi, the super middleweight war of the night.

 

Other bouts will see Malawi’s Hannock Phiri (4-1-1, 4KOs) make his third return to Tanzania versus Adam Lazaro (12-3-0, 10KOs), while Tanzania’s first-rated super lightweight Salim Mtango (17-4-1, 11KOs) at odds with (14-8-0, 7KOs) Byson Gwayani of Malawi.

 

The first visiting Kenyan, James Mugeni (5-0-0, 4KOs) will be in opposition to Mchanja Yohana (14-4-0, 11KOs), Ibrahim Abeid vs Shaban Madilu, Allan Kamote vs Deo Samwel, Ibrahim Tamba vs Jacob Maganga and Said Abdallah will make his debut vs Emilio Norfat (29-12-1, 12KOs).

 

Ally Ammar Mwazoa, the Promoter said: “We aim to make history this time around, all the eighteen boxers have already signed and are also in preparation. It’s our wish that Boxing loving fans here in Tanga and Tanzania in general will be much excited with our event,”
