Faisal Abubakari stops Emmanuel Aryee in 6 to retain his super lightweight title

The Adinkrahene Boxing Event which was the pro debut event for Silver Black Promotions was a successful one which ended with so much excitement as boxing fans were thrilled from the Lord’s Commey Sports Complex in Shukura last Saturday night.

 

Faisal Abubakari aka Poncho Power was able to retain his National Super lightweight title after a knockout victory over Emmanuel ‘Wonder Boy’ Aryee in the 6th round.

This is the 6th time Faisal Abubakari (15-0, 13KOs) has successfully defended the title after he won it in April 2022.

 

The undercard results are as follows;

Ahmed Abdulah had a round 6 TKO over Jonas Quarshie in a light heavyweight contest.

Joseph Sackey knocked out Alex Yartey after 25 seconds in the 5th round during a lightweight encounter.

Joshua Quartey recorded a round 4 TKO over his nemesis Francis Mensah in a middleweight contest.

Enock Tettey Tetteh scored a round 4 TKO victory over Edward Kambasi.

In a Lightweight encounter, Africanus Neequaye stopped Dennis Nyarko in the 1st round after just 1min 33sec.

Fosu Thompson secured a TKO victory in the 4th round over his opponent Johnson Prince Sikirou.

In a light heavyweight contest, 1min 53sec in the first round was enough for Moro Kanla Inusah to stop Moro Muhammed.

Samuel Quaye also secured a round 2 TKO victory over Sulley Mohammed in a Lightweight contest.

Emmanuel Mawuli stopped Eric Tetteh in the 4th round (TKO) in a bantamweight contest.

Gabriel Coffie secured a unanimous decision victory over Komlagah Hoakpatin in a Lightweight contest. The judges scored 80-70 (2X) and 79-70 all in favour of Coffie.

A split draw was record in the super middleweight contest between Emmanuel Martey and Delali Miledzi with judges scoring 76-78, 79-79 and 78-76.
