The “Wealth Machine” Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab looks set to face his countryman Sikiru Shogbesan this Sunday from Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

The Nigerian Boxing Board of Control commissioned event dubbed “Rumble In Lasgidi”, will see Joshua Oluwaseun (22-1, 15KOs) come face to face with Nigieria’s National Super Feather champion in Sikiru Shogbesan (11-2, 5KOs).

Sikiru Shogbesan had his two defeats in his first two pro fights, since then (December 2016), he’s won all his remaining 11 fights, winning the National Super featherweight title in his recent fight against Sodiq Oyakojo in December last year.

It must be noted that, Shogbesan has never faced a tougher opponent like Joshua Wahab, hence, he’s about to have his toughest test come fight night on March 5.

In an exclusive chat with the former WBO Africa Featherweight titlist, Joshua briefly said

“He [Shogbesan] is the current Nigeria national super featherweight champion and I know him well but he’s not a threat to me”

Joshua Seunzy Wahab is a feared KO artist who has 15 KOs out of 22 wins to his credit. When quizzed if a knockout win is to be expected on fight night, he said

“I just want to listen to my coach Charles Quartey, if the KO comes fine but my main focus is win either way, I believe victory is mine by the special grace of Almighty Allah.”

“My fans should expect the best from me, hard work and dedication day by day, InshaaAllah victory will be mine” concludes the Sensational Wahab.

With the WBO Africa Super feather title currently vacant, Joshua Wahab Oluwaseun will look forward to reclaim it, but he must win this weekend to get a shot at it again.
