With April 9 set to be a night to remember in the career of Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe as he gets ready to face former WBC Interim World titlist Ryan ‘King Ry’ Garcia, many connoisseurs of the game have shared their analysis and prediction on the big lightweight contest.

Dr. Adae Opoku Amoako, bankroller of Ace Power Promotions is among the latest boxing gurus to share their view on the much awaited bout. He said;
“There is a lot to be said about Garcia and Tagoe’s fight if things are critically analyzed based on the facts but this is boxing and facts do not always prevail.
Ryan Garcia has been named the social media boxer for a reason. If you look at his last 10 fights, he has hardly fought any formidable opponent. He’s however always on social media calling out the top guys in his weight category, evidenced by his recent  tweet. In that tweet he said “I want to fight Teofimo at 140, knock him out, and hopefully get ‘Tank’ Davis.””

He continued, “Garcia won an eliminator and declined to fight the champion when it was his turn. That speaks volumes about him. These are the rare chances boxers seek to make it to the top. He has been protected and I think if the facts speak for themselves he would struggle against Tagoe.

“Emmanuel Tagoe on the other hand has been factually seeking for an opportunity like this. It’s a make or break for him. The chances of him winning would be high if the win was only dependent on abilities and level of activeness. Tagoe will match toe to toe with Garcia in this regard. However, this is not the case. He’s going to fight a protected boxer away from home being promoted by Garcia’s handlers, Golden Boy. Getting a decision in his favor will be a tall order. He would have to do something extraordinary such as knocking Garcia out to get the win.”

After having analysed the two opponents, Dr. Adae Amoako further went on to give Tagoe his final advice going into the fight
“My advice to Tagoe is, either way he’s gonna get a pay day, however this is his chance to prove something to get out of the journeyman tag.”
