Daniel Dubois becomes a two-time heavyweight world champion 


Daniel Dubois secured his second heavyweight championship by defeating Fabio Wardley

via an 11th-round technical knockout for the WBO heavyweight title at the Co-op Arena in

Manchester.

Wardley landed effective punches early on, knocking Dubois down in both the first and third rounds.

The momentum appeared to change during the fifth round, as Daniel Dubois was effectively landing his jab and cross.

In the sixth round, both boxers connected with big punches, yet Fabio Wardley seemed to have the more pronounced reaction.

By round seven, Wardley’s nose was severely bleeding, and his right eye was shut.

Referee Howard Foster stepped in to end the bout after Dubois landed a decisive punch in the 11th round.

Daniel Dubois is now a two-time heavyweight champion, having won the IBF heavyweight title in 2024 with a fifth-round TKO against Anthony Joshua.

In the co-main event, Ghanaian UK-based boxer Ekow Essuman suffered a loss to Jack

Rafferty after Essuman’s team threw in the towel to end the bout.

Zak Chelli secured a late TKO victory in the tenth round against David Morell.
