Can young Commodore pull an upset against Commey in a battle of the Josephs?

Day 2 of the Ghana Individual Championships put together by the Ghana Boxing Federation at The Sports Hall of The Accra Sports Stadium promises an imminent blockbuster of a contest: one that could see the emergence of a budding bastion and a juggernaut : Joseph Commodore against Joseph Commey – a battle of the Josephs.

The sixteen year old Commodore has impressed immensely in sparring sessions versus astute professionals and might summon needed composure from those adventures; as against Commonwealth Silver medallion Joseph Commey the task isn’t unsurmountable but veritably herculean.

Joseph Commey also known as The Jaguar is a hard combatant who wouldn’t cede his place in the national team for anyone.

Reports from the Bronx Boxing Gym where Commodore trains indicates they expect a good outing from the young lad, “I want him to go out there and announce himself to the boxing stratosphere. Win, lose or draw, I expect a solid performance from Commodore,” said Bronx Gym Head Trainer Carl Lokko.

Coach Ebenezer Adjei of the Black Panthers Gym where Joseph Commey also trains is highly optimistic that his boxer would emerge on top no matter what ensues.

Are we in for an upset or would “The Jaguar” cement his reign ?

Only time would tell!
