Box Office Sports together with Probellum reschedules June 10 event to July 16, 2022

The Alfred Lamptey versus Muksini Swalehe headlined event according to it’s promotional syndicate has been rescheduled to July 16, 2022.

 

Per a release by the management of Box Office Sports, this has become necessary due to the ban on drumming and noise making by the Ga Mashie Chiefs and its people.

 

“Box Office Sports with it’s partners are sorry to announce to boxing fans across Ghana and beyond for the rescheduling of the Professional Boxing Event: Alfred Lamptey vs Muksini Swalehe slated for June 10 to July 16, 2022.

 

“June 10 show postponed to July 16.

This is due to the ban on drumming and noise making that had prevented the pre-fight public appearances and other fans engagement activities to promote the fight to attract the needed attention.

 

“We wish apologize to the Ghanaian boxing loving fans and general public for any inconveniences caused and promised to make the new date more exciting for professional boxing experience.” The release concluded.

 

Boxinghana.com reached out to the CEO of Box Office Sports, Mr. Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye for more clarification on the postponement;

 

“We would need to have a pre-fight activities to promote the event before the fight night, like public appearances of the boxers, press conferences and public work-out and these comes with music and the use of loud speakers of which are not allowed within the ban on drumming and noise making period.

 

“This is the way you can promote the event and attract necessary attention needed.” Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye expressed.

 

The new date as communicated by both Box Office Sports and Probellum is July 16 at the same venue, the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra-Ghana
