GBA mourns Ebo Danquah, former champion gets befitting burial
Members of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) including boxers, coaches, managers, promoters and aspiring candidates for the much talked about Elections 2026 gathered over the weekend to pay last respect to former WBC International Champion Michael Ebo Danquah.
The wake keeping, funeral service and burial was held on Friday and Saturday, while the final memorial on Sunday at Chorkor. .
Coach Augustus Dodoo of Bukom and Charger organised some boxers to thrill fans in a boxing exhibition, while Alex Ntiamoah Boakye supervised that everything went well.
Among the notable personalities were Yoofi Boham. Azumah Nelson, Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe, Ernest Ofori, Roger Barnor and others.
Ebo Danquah was one of the boxers who made name for Chorkor and Mamprobi area like Azumah Nelson. He was crafty and a disciplined boxer.
