Prince De Henry Educational Complex hosts Boxing Is Love International Education And Youth Empowerment Outreach Programme
The much publicised International Health Education on Nutrition and Physiotherapy as well as Youth Empowerment Outreach Programme was held successfully on Tuesday at the Prince De Henry Educational Complex, Latebiokorshie in Accra the alma mata of some of the nation’s popular and best juvenile boxers like Samuel Plange and Prince ‘The Buzz’ Larbie.
Resource people from Boxing Is Love were in Accra, Ghana to conduct the programme which the learner watched with pleasure.
Other stars who attended the school are National Lightweight Champion Africanus Neequaye, Commonwealth Silver titlist Micheal Abban and Abubakar Kamoko aka ‘Bukom Ambitious Tilapia’ who is an Ambassador of the institution.
Boxing Is Love who are in Ghana held a special practical session with the kids at the school and they really loved it.
CEO of Boxing Is Love. Mr. Spencer Lee Boya from the UK, the charitable organ of Boxraw, said there are many forms of learning and teaching. He was elated and thrilled with the warm welcome received by the pupils and their eagerness to learn.
Former WBC Super Flyweight and Bantamweight Champion Nana Yaw Konadu came from Sunyani to Accra to share his story and demonstrated some of his skills and strategies of champion.
Ms. Amanda Monzorrath Trevino Garcia from Mexico taught the kids some lessons in Physiotherapy while Julius Sammsh took them through Nutrition to learn about carbohydrates, proteins, fat, vitamins and water.
Mr. Archiebald Martei Armah, the Proprietor of the Educational Complex was very pleased with the visit and recognition. He commended the leadership of Boxing Is Love and Wisdom Boxing Gym as well as partners and sponsors.
He hoped that the exchange education programme would continue and reach other deprived boxing units.
The young learners and teachers were very happy to encounter the visitors and interacted lovely and friendly with them.
Ms. Sarah Lotus Asare, Administrator of Wisdom Boxing Gym and an executive member of the Ghana Boxing Federation led the visitors from Boxing Is Love. She urged parents to encourage their wards to combine education and sports.
She expressed that the outreach programme was very successful, positive and fruitful.
