Theophilus Allotey proves why he is special and ready to become Ghana’s first undisputed champion
Theo ‘Lopez’ Allotey (14-0-0) has added the WBA Africa Super Flyweight title to his collection as he successfully defended the WBO Global and WBO Africa belts against rough boxer Justin Erastus from Namibia on the Rise Continues bill by Legacy Rise Sports Promotions. .
According to Allotey his opponent came with an unusual intension and inconsistent clumsy style just to frustrate. “He is an awkward boxer and came holding, pulling and wrestling instead of boxing but I stopped him in round seven to break his record of not stopped”.
“He butted me and when I saw blood I became wild and wanted to end the fight early, because I have vowed not to sustain cut in my career”
Speaking to Yours Truly on Omashi TV, Allotey said his target still remains to become the undisputed world champion and his Team is working hard to make it a reality.
“I want to raise the bar and achieve what no Ghanaian boxer has done” he stated.
Coach Ofori Asare the trainer and father figure noted that they have prepared for anything either good or bad and praised his daughter and administrator of Wisdom Boxing Sarah Lotus who has been enterprising in connecting sponsors and partners as well as linking with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
Allotey revealed that his ring entry song is the boost his confidence as the greatest coming up, while his dressing is significantly portrays a king.”I dress according to many factors to inspire me for victory” he expressed
Team Allotey commended Legacy Rise Sports Promotions for making them rise fast and claiming five titles.
Now ranked number 9 by The Ring Magazine,13 by WBO, 16 by WBC. Allotey is not in a rush to conquer the world but waiting for the opportunities to deliver.
He wants to face the South Africans, Phumelela Cafu and Richardo Malajika in the top ranks and crack the Americans, Mexicans, Japanese and Eastern Europeans.
“I want to be the best, so I have to fight the best to know my level” he stressed as Coach Asare describes Daniel ‘Emperor’ Gorsh as the toughest opponent because they moved to challenge someone heavier and popular in a tough bout.

Allotey who has social responsibility projects advised young guys to guard themselves against teenage pregnancy and try to further their education before going into marriage.
He has donated branded exercise books to Bishop Mixed School students and hopes to consider different ventures to support his community.
He has also initiated e Boxing programmes at Atukpai in Accra.
Allotey has won numerous boxing awards but his focus is on the prestigious SWAG award and believes this is the perfect period.
