Internationally reputed and astute Boxing matchmaker, manager cum promoter with acclaimed integrity and forthrightness Michael Quartey affectionately called “The Baron” has been elevated to the prestigious position of Universal Boxing Alliance (UBA) Representative For Africa.
Before this elevation, Quartey represented the UBA in Ghana. And owing to his display of dexterity, diligence and pragmatic persona inuring to amelioration in sundry endeavors, international executives have effected this promotion.
On his acceptance of the new role, an affable and ever-smiling Quartey expressed much gratitude to the President and Executive body. He stated that he would ensure that through the UBA, boxers from Ghana and across Africa would get more exposure and land bigger opportunities.
He remarked, “The time is ripe for African boxers to take the world by storm, and the Universal Boxing Alliance is a very willing partner in that quest”.
In an interview with Boxing Writer, Sam Nana Gold, The newly appointed Africa Rep. advised the current generation of boxers to pay close attention to training and diet. He noted that without discipline and self restraint success would be a mirage for them.
He revealed that he has something big coming up early next year and urged boxing people to watch out for that.
