Loren Japhet is battle ready for the WABU title against Imorou Hanri

A protege of John Manfo, Dar-Es-Salaam born Tanzanian featherweight prospect Loren Japhet is set to clash gloves with Beninois boxer Imorou Hanri Tadja Wali at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra-Ghana.

Leveraging on the wings of the ever exciting DeLuxy Professional Boxing League, promotional outfit, Fight Ready, bankrolled by John Manfo will co- promote this all important event tomorrow Saturday, 17th of September 2022. At stake is the West African Boxing Union strap (WABU).

Japhet holds a record of 14 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. In his 125 rounds pugilistic action which translates to 21 professional bouts, the self styled “prophet” has maintained a knockout ratio of 19.7%.

The 25 year old southpaw has been on the ascendancy since his last defeat to Muksini Swalehe, winning 5 bouts in a space of a year and a half.

On the other hand, Cotonou born, Beninois Imorou Hanri Tadja Wali famed Imoro Hanri has a record of 4 wins no defeat with three of those victories coming by way of knockouts.

At age 29, Imorou Hanri is still learning the craft of boxing and only begun his career this year. In his 14 rounds of pro boxing, the Beninois has a superior knockout ratio to that of Japhet, registering 75% in total.

What is vehemently clear is that, this fight indeed is a good match-up for both boxers as the winner walks away with the West African Boxing Union title.
