The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, will be organising a boxing event, dubbed Pre-Independence Day Rumble at the Bukom Boxing Arena on 4th March, 2023.
The Independence Day Boxing bouts according to a release signed by the President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Mr. Bernard Quartey, is being organised in order to reconstitute the Elite National Team (Black Bombers) in readiness for upcoming international tournaments like the 2023 African Games, Paris 2024, Olympic Games, the World Boxing Championship and the African Boxing Championship.
The GBF have also scheduled Special Challenge bouts between the remnant of Black Bombers and the National Youth Team (Black Rockets). There will also be special bouts among selected National Female Team members (Black Hitters) as well as exhibition bouts involving Kids and Juvenile boxers as side attraction.
The public, especially Boxing loving fans are being entreated to grace the big event which is well packed to entertain the public as well as groom the fine Boxing prospects of mother Ghana.
The GBF President, Bernard Quartey therefore assures the public of its readiness to welcome all and sundry to the Bukom Boxing Arena on March 4, 2023, starting at 6pm prompt.
The event is in partnership with the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA).
