Father’s Day: How Some Boxers and Coaches Celebrated The Day

Father’s Day is celebrated yearly on the 3rd Sunday of June. This year June 19, 2022 marks the annual celebration of fathers day globally. Boxing practitioners in Ghana have taken to social media to mark the day.

While several boxers and Coaches uploaded videos and artwork on their stories, others put up posts on their main feeds on Facebook and Instagram.

Undefeated WBO Africa Super featherweight titlist, Seunzy Wahab shared cute mash photos of himself and a young boy with the caption “Happy Fathers Day to me” the post suggests the little boy in the post is his son.

Another upload on stories was by Black Bomber Joshua Quartey who shared a photo of himself with the inscription “Happy Father’s Day to all Father figures in my life.”

Coach Ebenezer Adjei, Head Coach of Black Panthers Boxing Foundation used the day to remember the founder of the Club. Sharing a photo of a man in a black struck suit, with a caption and crying emoji. Although the name of the man in the post was not stated, he is believed to be “Coach Akese”.

Others like Coach Charles Quartey and Bastie Samir shared posts on their pages.

A post by Coach Charles Quartey wished fathers everywhere a Happy Fathers Day.

Bastie Samir, who came out victorious over the weekend against his Cameroonian opponent did not shy away from the celebrations, as he shared multiple photos of himself, his family, and another of him feeding a baby.
