The WBO Global and IBF
International Champion as well as WBO Africa lightweight Champion Emmanuel Tagoe is set to leave for the states in May.

The witty fighter rated number four best in the WBO world ratings and 9th best in the IBF who is set to go 3rd or 2nd in next month’s ratings has paid his due in the pugilistic world and was the former IBO world lightweight champion is destined for even greater achievements as he set his sight on the world strap.

His co-manager an astute boxing guru Peter Kahn describes Tagoe as an exceptional boxer who fights like Mayweather.

“Emmanuel is a fantastic boxer. He is difficult to hit just like Floyd Mayweather and such boxers are difficult to fight. Look, boxing is not just about getting beaten or pound for pound. It’s about the craft, even a touch earns you a point. Some people don’t understand that bit.”

“Tagoe has everything to be a hit in the states. This is a new transition towards winning the world title.” Kahn told BoxingGhana.Com.

The champion was very upbeat when boxing Ghana contacted him on his said departure.
“Yes I am ready for the next face of my career. I am leaving either April or latest May for sure. I am ready to make Ghana proud.” Emmanuel Tagoe said.

Connoisseurs of the square ring harbour the opinion that the Ghanaian is a class act and a showman good for the American boxing economy. A smart boxer who is full skill, confidence, deadly jabs and showmanship aside being a tough talker.

Emmanuel the ‘Gameboy’ Tagoe is set to move to the states with the full compliment of his team in order to help him adopt easily to the environment.
“Look, when it is not broken you don’t fix it” Peter Kahn stated when asked if Tagoe was going with his team.
