Barring any changes at the 2300 Arena, Philadelphia Pennsylvania will witness the Ghanaian US based pugilist Frederick “General Okunka” Lawson fight come March 30 against Juan Ruiz on a TOP RANK card.
The Ghanaian has been preparing hard to get back into the rankings and make his way to annexing a world title.
Lawson 29, (27-1, 21 KO) who recently got signed on a TOP RANK promotional deal in a phone call on prime Ghanaian TV, HSTV Ultimate Sports program disclosed his preparedness for the fight slated for March 30.
“I have moved to Massachusetts to have full concentration on the fight ahead. I’m currently being trained by Oko Odamtten the former trainer of Ike “Bazooka” Quartey and Kweme Asante whilst the team waits for Carl Lokko to join us here in the United States”
Carl Lokko, the very renowned boxing trainer actually on the very day was the guest on the show with Dauda Fuseni a Ghanaian matchmaker and manager discussing Tagoe and Gusev fight.
Lawson on the phone call said, “I have been with Carl for sometime now and he is like the engine of my car. The team is waiting earnestly for him.” The Ghanaian expressed.
