Ghanaian female boxer Abigail Quartey will for the first time fight outside Ghana, when she faces Italian boxer, Maria Cecchi, on Friday, July 29, 2022.
The bout, scheduled for the Stadio Marcello Torre in Pagani, Italy, would see the undefeated Ghanaian boxing prodigy seeking to extend her unbeaten streak against the Italian boxer.
Quartey has fought four times in her professional career, with two coming by way of knockouts, all in Ghana.
But the 26-year-old Italian boxer has fought eight times in her career, winning seven times, with her only loss coming against Mary Romero.
Quartey, in her last outing against Happiness Okoh, displayed some toughness, having won on points at the AMA Basketball Court.
