The Michaels maintain a steady course as Ghana prepares for the upcoming Battle of Torkor Atorlia.

THE DYNAMIC MICHAELS HOLD GHANA AT RAINSOME AS THE BATTLE OF TORKOR ATORLIA APPROACHES

Michael Poppoe and Michael Ansah are two names that resonate with boxing fans in West Africa as they prepare to compete for the inaugural vacant WABA Supreme Prof Azumah Nelson Champion Emeritus Super Featherweight World Championship.

The situation involving the two Michaels, who enjoy immense popularity in Ghana’s boxing scene with a large following of dedicated fans in Bukom—an area celebrated as the MECA of boxing in West Africa—was resolved when Mitch Gilbert Wooollams, the CEO of Aborigine Boxing Promotion, signed a contract with both fighters.

In this agreement, the two will showcase their exceptional skills in the ring when they face off at the Aborigine Beach Resort Club, which is owned and managed by Mitch Gilbert Wooollams, the promoter of this prestigious event.

With their impressive fighting styles ready to elevate the excitement, the two remarkable pugilists will not hold back as they prepare to honor Africa’s finest, Prof Azumah Nelson, whose championship bears his name.

The Prof Azumah Nelson Champion Emeritus Championship is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of the two-weight former world champion, Prof Azumah Nelson, who has made significant contributions to the sport of boxing globally and is the only living boxing legend with a tournament named in his honor.

Additionally, two more Supreme titles will be contested, featuring an Anglophone vs. Francophone DUEL that pits Ghanaian Abubak Mubarak against Beninese slugger Justin Hounkpevi for the vacant WABA Supreme World Super Middleweight Championship, while two Ghanaian pugilists, Saviour Gad and Eliasu Sulley, will vie for the vacant WABA Supreme Global Super Middleweight Championship.

The dynamic Michaels will face their challenge on April 4th, Easter Day, in the Battle of TORKOR ATORLIA in KETA, Ghana.
