Ghana Boxing Awards 2026: A New Level of Excellence


Boxing Ghana is gearing up for the 5th edition of the Ghana Boxing Awards, and we are pulling out all the stops to make it an unforgettable night. With a focus on transparency and fairness, we have established an Awards Expert Committee to oversee the nominations, voting, and announcement of results.

 

Scheduled to take place on 26 December, the awards night promises to be a celebration of excellence in Ghanaian boxing. The Awards Expert Committee, comprising seasoned professionals from various sectors of the sport, will ensure that the nomination and voting process is rigorous and unbiased.

 

Notably, to avoid any conflict of interest, no member of the Awards Expert Committee will be eligible for nomination in any category. The experts will hold collective voting power for each category, reflecting their combined expertise.

 

The Awards Expert Committee comprises 18 members, including:

Ernest Ofori (Assistant Trainer, Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation)

Yoofi Boham (Veteran Boxing Promoter & Manager)

Ekow Asmah (Author, Journalist)

Waliwu Alhassan (NSA Northern Regional Boxing Coach; Head Trainer, Northern Boxing Club Tamale)

Derek Nii Asai Ankrah (Media Personality & Master Scorecard Keeper)

Daniel Donkor (Coach, Matchmaker, Promoter & TV Pundit)

Eugene W. Ofori Atta (Sports Management, Strength & Conditioning Coach)
