The National Sports Authority led by Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has suspended boxing and boxing related activities due to the death of Ghanaian pugilist Ernest Akushey popularly known as Bahubali.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Showon Wednesday, September 24, Mr. Ampofo Ankrah said the suspension will remain in place until investigations into the circumstances surrounding Akushey’s death are completed.
“All boxing activities are hence suspended pending investigation into the death of Ernest Akushey,” he stated.
